Data & Wireless

Nortel Today's businesses rely heavily on data networks to distribute information - voice, data, video and other resources both internally and externally.

These very sensitive networks experience unplanned expansions, contractions and re-configurations often resulting in network performance and management issues. In order to ensure network optimization and expansion readiness, our Certified Field Engineers will perform an analysis and review of your data network including:

LANs
WLANs
WANs
Intrusion Detection
Security, Network Assessments
Firewalls
Routers
IP Readiness Evaluations

Nortel Data Networking Solutions for Small & Medium Business
Are you concerned about the increasing complexity of your network - and how to manage it? Do your employees need to share software applications, printers, modems and fax machines? Did you know that Nortel offers solutions that may save or even make you money, without forcing you to replace your existing network? Nortel's SMB Data Networking Solutions are specifically designed to provide cost-effective bandwidth; to deliver the performance and resiliency needed to keep voice and other business-critical applications running -- now and into the future.

Let's take a look at how some of the SMB Data products might fit into -- and benefit your business.

The Business Secure Router can be used for teleworkers -- or for small businesses or remote offices that use DSL or cable modems for high-speed internet access. Security? Not a problem, it's ensured through the Virtual Private Network tunnel. VoIP voice quality? Also not a problem -- its ensured through bandwidth allocation. Thinking about a another vendor? Don't. Often times it's more expensive and you may have to pay extra for VPN.
The Business Ethernet Switch is a computer networking device that connects network segments. It inspects data packets as they are received, determines the source and destination device of that packet, and then forwards it on appropriately. It provides the LAN infrastructure for secure, high-speed connectivity for devices from PC's to PDA's, printers, IP phones and security cameras.
The Business Access Point is a Wi-Fi access point that connects wireless communication devices together to form a wireless network. It connects to a wired network, and relays data between wireless devices and wired devices. Several Business Access Points can link together to form a larger network that allows ""roaming"".
A solution for sites that subscribe to IP telephony and managed data services from a service provider is the Business Services Gateway -- which provides wired and wireless devices with connectivity to the Internet and PSTN. The Business Services Gateway can also be used in traditional applications where SMBs use and manage the solution themselves as an integrated data device.
